"Natalia Rose is a talented and highly original Danish artist who creates semi-abstract works containing various pictorial influences mixed with her great creativity. Her artworks are exhibited and appreciated all over the world. Her technique involves broad brushstrokes and vivid colours that strike the viewer and arouse their curiosity. She tickles the human intellect by asking the viewer questions about the ambiguous relationship between concepts and the visual/pictorial ways in which they are expressed. Her concept is well expressed in the abstract artwork "Uden Titel" made with acrylics on linen. The canvas looks like a tangle of colours and signs, freely drawn on the surface. In the background, a contrast between cold blue and warm yellow prevails, interspersed with black, which creates dynamism and rhythm. The patches of colour, seemingly randomly juxtaposed, instead create interesting shapes inspired by the natural world, such as butterflies and flower petals. Totally and deliberately in contrast to the variegated background, Natalia draws letters according to the oriental alphabet. These are made in a fluid and clear way, bright red and perfectly legible. Natalia prefers colour contrasts in her paintings and uses them as the hallmark of her art. In the work "Landscape With Trees" she creates a chromatic tangle that reflects an inner emotional mix. Powerful, fluid brushstrokes follow one another, creating unusual views and combinations. The predominant colour is red, which exudes a feeling of power, strength and passion. Blue and black are also fundamental in outlining this intense mix of glory and drama, joy and pain. The painting, which is essentially abstract, echoes somewhat the worldview suggested by the Expressionist movement, which aims to break away from the standardised view of the world and dive towards a more direct relationship between viewer-nature-artwork. Natalia shows here her creative and instinctive side. The colours are vivid and impactful. In the work "Flower Power", the artist also proves to be very skilled in the figurative. Against a background painted in warm, unsaturated yellows and oranges, the details are finished with fine brushstrokes and touches of green and black. What stands out on the canvas is an extremely beautiful and well-kept floral composition. Everything is studied in detail, the petals are well outlined and three-dimensional, the composition seems to emerge on the surface. One has to admire the artist's ability to create a mix between abstract and figurative, while at the same time making the composition harmonious and interesting. Natalia uses essential strokes and a wide range of colours, drawing on mostly naturalistic subjects and being fascinated by various artistic influences that the artist is subsequently able to rework according to her personal taste. Natalia creates extremely subjective artworks where the viewer is the protagonist and placed at the centre of the reading of the artwork to which everyone will be able to give a different meaning according to their personal vision."
